Meet The Orthodontist
Educated
Dr. David L. Wilkinson has been a practicing orthodontist since 1996. He earned both dental and orthodontic degrees from Loma Linda University, graduating second in his dental class with eight awards. His path to orthodontics was a circuitous, compassionate one that included teaching instrumental music at the high school level, and working for six years in Zimbabwe as an orthodontist before returning in 2003 to make his home in Lewiston, Idaho.
Caring
Dr. Wilkinson believes strongly in the importance of involvement and giving to the community. While in Zimbabwe, he facilitated the formation and funding of scholarships at three African universities, building of five churches, refurbishing and equipping of two schools and worked to raise the awareness of AIDS by printing and distributing 1.5 million AIDS prevention posters. He is currently a member of the Lewiston Rotary Club, Lewis-Clark Community Band and the Beacon Christian School Board. He is a sponsor of local sporting teams.
Professional
He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Idaho State Dental Association, Lewis-Clark Dental Association, and North Central Idaho Cleft Lip and Palate Team. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, an outstanding achievement that had been awarded to less than 2,500 orthodontists worldwide as of 2004.
Personal

He, his wife, Pamela, and three sons, Michael, Daniel, and Paul, enjoy music, gardening, traveling, racket sports, cycling, hiking, bird watching, nature and worshiping together.
